A supermarket chain in the Netherlands has always aimed to provide high-quality shopping experience and put customer experience first. However, with the digital transformation of the retail market, the supermarket manager Dolmentoni realized that if he did not change, he would be eliminated by the market sooner or later. Based on various comparisons, he chose to cooperate with us to solve his intelligent retail needs.
We and Dolmentoni learned about the current problems in the retail industry. He felt that for supermarket chains like theirs, the traditional retail model has always had many problems in the display of information. The cost of making and replacing paper labels has always been high. In particular, the more stores there are, the more preparations need to be made for updates. If the information cannot be synchronized in time, it is easy for customers to misunderstand or even lose trust, which is particularly detrimental to the customer's shopping experience and the brand's image.
On the other hand, traditional advertising tools do not have much room for operation. There is no way to make innovative display models for market trends and promotional activities, and there is no way to visually attract customers' attention.
After we communicated with Dolmentoni about the requirements, we deployed the following solutions:
Install LCD displays on the shelf edge that display product prices, inventory quantities, and promotional information in real time to ensure that customers get accurate information. For example, in the fresh food area, customers can quickly learn about the real-time price, origin information, and whether a certain fruit is participating in the current promotion through the shelf edge video display.
In key locations such as the entrance, atrium, and rest area, the hanging digital signage is installed to distinguish the various areas in the supermarket and to market through dynamic images, which enhances the fun and sense of participation in shopping. For example, when customers enter the supermarket, they can quickly learn about the promotional products, new products, and location information of each product area this week through the LCD signage display, so as to better plan their shopping routes.
In addition, a digital totem sign is set up in the supermarket to display the overall promotion activities and brand publicity, creating a strong shopping atmosphere and attracting customers to participate in promotion activities.
