This sprawling park, located on the outskirts of Sydney, Australia, is renowned for its natural scenery and recreational facilities, attracting tens of thousands of visitors annually.
However, facing increased competition in recent years, the park management hopes to revitalize itself through modernization.
The park's investor, Marius Stankevicius, realized that if the park didn't adapt and meet visitor needs, it would eventually be phased out.
After extensive research, Marius Stankevicius sent us an inquiry, hoping we could create an interactive and convenient environment for visitors using digital signage.
Previously, park signage typically used static warning signs or bulletin boards to convey information.
This static approach failed to effectively capture visitors' attention or create a dynamic atmosphere.
Therefore, Marius Stankevicius aimed to upgrade the park by using a method that proactively draws visitors' attention.
Currently, the park covers a wide area, and visitors often get lost within it. Paper maps are inconvenient to carry and are limited in number.
Therefore, the park operators hope that we can find a way to improve the problem of visitors getting lost.
We have held several meetings with the park operators, and the feedback we received was that the park needs to prepare 72 hours in advance for every event or announcement, and the final results are unsatisfactory.
Therefore, their final request to us is to improve and optimize management efficiency.
At each entrance to the park, we have installed vertical digital signage. Considering that the theme park is located outdoors, we have increased the brightness to 2000 nits to ensure that the screen content is unaffected by the weather.
We have also equipped it with brightness adjustment to easily cope with changes in light from day to night, so as to welcome visitors in the best possible condition.
We have installed kiosk digital signage every 2km or at major intersections. This interactive advertising display can be linked with the park's digital map.
Visitors can easily check their location and plan the best route to their destination with simple touch gestures, greatly reducing the possibility of visitors getting lost in the park.
At various event announcement points in the park, we use multiple wall LCD screen panels to form a large LCD screen wall, which is used to broadcast upcoming events and important announcements in rotation.
If there are any changes to the event, there is no longer a need to prepare for publicity more than 72 hours in advance; staff can simply update the information with one click in the backend.
After deploying digital signage in parks across Australia, Marius Stankevicius reported a significant improvement in visitor experience and operational efficiency.
Data shows that inquiries at park visitor centers decreased by over 60% year-on-year. This means that most common visitor questions are now answered through digital signage, allowing staff to focus on more complex service needs.
Meanwhile, average visitor dwell time increased by nearly 20%. Interactive digital guides and abundant activity information successfully stimulated visitors' desire to explore, encouraging them to discover more and experience more within the park.
From an operational perspective, the most significant improvement was in information dissemination efficiency. Global notification updates that previously took half a day can now be distributed to all screens with a single click within 10 minutes through the management system, representing an efficiency improvement of over 90%.
